This idea was brought to me by my college professor in a studio drawing class; the project was to complete a self portrait made out of words. Just words. Once I learned this technique, I fell in love. Doing portraits and artwork out of text can be as anonymous or personal as I want; however, personal artwork makes it that much more brilliant. I decided to start commission work; clients will send me a photo of whatever they want and a text to be incorporated into the image. I turn it into an original piece of work for them that is not only sentimental, but unique and professional. Doing this has opened my doors to try out any type of medium for commission work, rather than just text portraits. I have the materials and experience to work with paints, charcoal, pencil, and pen. The tools work on a variety of surfaces other than paper. I work with my clients to bring their ideas to life, introduce new ones, and make sure that what they want is exactly what they get.
